Lead Story

Florida State’s first road game of the 2020-21 season did not end the way it had hoped.

The No. 18 Seminoles fell at Clemson on Tuesday night, 77-67. FSU led by as many as nine in the first half, but the second half was dominated by the Tigers. The contest was even at 54 with less than eight minutes to play before Clemson seized control with an 8-1 run.

Clemson held a 14-rebound edge in the win and shot 33 free throws to just nine for FSU. Scottie Barnes led the Seminoles with 14 points and five assists. Clyde Trapp scored a game-high 15 points to pace the Tigers.

With the loss, FSU fell to 5-2 overall and 1-1 in ACC play. The Seminoles will return home to take on Duke on Saturday night.

FSU basketball’s loss to Clemson was the lone scheduled athletic contest for Tuesday.

On the Agenda

There are no FSU athletic events scheduled for Wednesday.
