Florida State women’s basketball bounced back from its first loss of the season with a resounding victory over Pittsburgh on Sunday afternoon, 67-53.

The Seminoles dominated the contest, leading by as many as 18 at one point. The FSU defense was stifling, holding the Panthers to just 30% shooting while forcing 23 turnovers.

Kourtney Weber led FSU with 19 points and three steals. Bianca Jackson added 13 points in the victory. Dayshanette Harris paced Pittsburgh with 18 points in the loss.

With the win, FSU improved to 3-1 overall this season and 2-1 in ACC play. FSU will have two weeks off before visiting Wake Forest on Jan. 3.

FSU women’s hoops’ basketball victory was the lone athletic event scheduled for Sunday.

On the Agenda

FSU men’s basketball will host Gardner-Webb on Monday night. The 7 p.m. ET contest will air regionally on Raycom Sports Networks.
