Florida State’s season finale did not take place this week, but it was a productive one for the football team nonetheless.

During the Early Signing Period, FSU did not lose a single committed player. It added a pair of top-400 prospects, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

On Wednesday, FSU made a splash by adding Virginia Beach native and 3-star defensive end George Wilson. Wilson, a former South Carolina commitment, is ranked as the No. 365 overall prospect by the Composite.

Two days later, a familiar face came back into the fold for FSU. 4-star wide receiver Malik McClain, who decommitted less than two weeks prior, re-pledged his services and signed with Florida State. He becomes the second-highest ranked signee behind only cornerback Hunter Washington.

Of the 17 total commitments for 2021, FSU has signed 16 of them. The lone exception is 3-star guard Kimo Makaneole. UCF quarterback transfer McKenzie Milton also signed this week.

Entering the week, FSU ranked 34th in the nation and just eighth in the ACC, according to the 247Sports Composite. With the pair of additions, FSU moves up 12 spots to No. 22 overall and to fourth in the ACC.
