The NFL’s regular season wrapped up on Sunday with some thrilling finishes. By the end of the night however, the field of 12 was set.

Overview
Seven of the 12 teams remaining in the playoffs currently have a former FSU player on the roster. The exceptions are the top seed and two Wild Card teams in the AFC and the top two seeds in the NFC.

The Philadelphia Eagles have the most FSU players on their roster with four, followed by the New Orleans Saints with three and four others with two. At least one former FSU player has been on a Super Bowl roster in each of the last nine Super Bowls.

It should be noted that both safety Terrence Brooks and tight end Ryan Izzo were inactive on Sunday for the New England Patriots in a 27-24 loss to the Miami Dolphins as was running back Dalvin Cook of the Minnesota Vikings in a 21-19 loss to the Chicago Bears. Seattle’s Demarcus Christmas is out for the season.
