A big recruiting weekend is on the horizon for Florida State football.

This weekend, FSU will holds its annual Saturday Night Live event. More than 60 high school prospects and commitments are expected to be in attendance.

This week, we asked our social media followers how many commitments would come soon as a result of the event. We had 91 total responses.

The most popular answer was two or three, receiving 56 percent of the vote. Nearly a quarter expect that FSU will get just one commitment. 11 percent said the Seminoles will not get a commitment. Just 9 percent said that FSU will get four or more commitments.

Our Take
We will side with the crowd for this one, though maybe on the lower side of the prediction. FSU’s recruiting has been slower this offseason due to the impact of a 5-7 regular season weighing it down. Still, the Seminoles are holding serve in the 2020 class and still have a fairly impressive list of SNL attendees.

There are also a number of recruits wishing to make a decision soon; top targets like 3-star offensive tackle Thomas Shrader and 3-star defensive end Morven Joseph are two good examples of players who FSU is both heavily pursuing who are equally interested in the Seminoles. This combination means that FSU will probably gain a couple of commitments (not necessarily the two listed above).

Granted, it might not be the star-studded names that fans desire. But Florida State isn’t in a position to turn down certain recruits who want in. If they’re coming to SNL, chances are the staff wants them in the class.
