Florida State has extra motivation to impress during Saturday’s spring game.
According to Noles247, the list of visitors for the intrasquad contest will exceed 40 high school prospects. Among the prospects, 18 are blue chips, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Included in the visitor list is FSU commitments Jeff Sims, offensive lineman Zane Herring, defensive back Demorie Tate and linebackers Keyshawn Greene and Stephen Dix Jr. Saturday’s spring game begins at 4 p.m. EST and airs on ACC Network Extra.
Between the Lines
FSU track and field took part in the UNF Invitational on Friday. FSU beach volleyball collected 4-1 home wins over Florida Atlantic and Florida International. FSU men’s tennis fell to Virginia 4-1 while the women were blanked by North Carolina, 4-0. FSU baseball was shut out by Miami on Friday night, 11-0.
On the Agenda
FSU beach volleyball continues the FSU Beach Bash on Saturday against Georgia State. FSU men’s golf begins the Cabarrus County Irish Creek Collegiate. FSU softball will play a doubleheader at Louisville with the first game set for 1 p.m. EST. FSU baseball plays at Miami at 7 p.m. EST. All games on the diamond air on ACC Network Extra.

C.J. Van Eyk will be the starting pitcher for FSU against Miami on Saturday.
The Gold topped the Garnet on Saturday in the FSU spring game, 27-21.
FSU baseball fell to Miami on Saturday night in Coral Gables, 4-0.
