Moving forward, it may be safest for Florida State just to assume that it will be playing a doubleheader every Saturday.

Due to weather in South Bend, the Friday night baseball contest between FSU and Notre Dame will be postponed. The teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday instead and wrap up the series with a single game on Sunday.

In six weekends, this will be the fourth doubleheader that the Seminoles have played on a Saturday and first one on the road. Of the previous three, only the doubleheader against Maine on opening weekend was scheduled.

Weather forced the Seminoles to play doubleheaders against both Youngstown State and Virginia Tech. This will be the first one that takes place on the road. FSU also had scheduled contests against South Florida and Jacksonville canceled by rain.

Saturday’s contest was initially scheduled for 2 p.m. EST, but the doubleheader will begin at noon. Sunday’s contest has also been moved up one hour from 1 p.m. EST to noon.
