Happy hump day, Florida State fans. As your week heads downhill, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

Over the last two games, Florida State softball has allowed as many hits as it has runs. In both cases, the number is zero.

In an 8-0 victory over Florida A&M on Tuesday, Makinzy Herzog and Kara Bilodeau combined to throw a no-hitter and allow just one walk in a contest that lasted just six innings. Herzog tossed five innings, facing just two over the minimum before Bilodeau threw a perfect sixth.

The no-hitter comes two days after Meghan King faced one over the minimum in a no-hit victory over Notre Dame. Cassidy Davis homered for the Seminoles and finished with three RBIs on Tuesday. Herzog, Leslie Farris, Carsyn Gordon and Savannah Parker all had two hits in the win.
