Florida State men’s basketball isn’t the only group of Seminoles who will be dancing.

On Monday, the FSU women were awarded a No. 5 seed in the 2019 NCAA Tournament and will be part of the Greensboro Region. The Seminoles will open things in Columbia, South Carolina against Patriot League champion and No. 12 seed Bucknell at 4 p.m. EST on Friday. The contest will air on ESPN2.

Despite losing more than half of its production in every major statistical category, FSU still managed to go 23-8 this season with a 10-6 record in ACC play. The Bison went 28-5 and topped American University to win the Patriot League Tournament.

FSU is in the NCAA Tournament for a seventh straight season and has advanced in each of the last six seasons. The Seminoles were upset in the second round last season against 11th-seeded Buffalo.

Should FSU advance, it will face either No. 4 seed and host South Carolina or 13th-seeded Belmont. South Carolina defeated FSU in the 2017 Sweet 16 and two years prior in the Elite Eight. The Seminoles have no prior meetings with Bucknell or Belmont.
