It was a rough week for Florida State on the baseball diamond and the latest polls reflect that.

FSU fell out of the 20 in both the Baseball America and D1Baseball.com Polls. The Seminoles had crept into the Baseball America top 5 and the D1Baseball.com top 10 for the first time last week.

FSU is No. 21 this week in both of those polls. Florida State slid 16 spots in the Baseball America Poll and 11 spots in the D1Baseball.com Poll.

The Seminoles went just 1-3 last week. After blowing a 6-run lead in a 20-7 loss at rival Florida on Tuesday, FSU dropped the first two games of a 3-game set against NC State.

Florida State dropped the first game, 16-0, before blowing a 4-run lead in a 9-8 loss the next night. FSU avoided the sweep on Sunday with a 7-5 win over the Wolfpack.

NC State replaced FSU as No. 1 in the Collegiate Baseball Poll. The Seminoles fell 13 spots to No. 14.

FSU fell the least in the NCBWA Poll, where it slipped 10 spots. After being No. 7 last week, the Seminoles now sit at No. 17.

For the season, FSU is 14-4 and 3-3 in ACC play. The Seminoles will play midweek contests at home this week against UCF on Tuesday and Florida International on Wednesday before opening up a 3-game series at Notre Dame on Friday.
