FSU Hoops to Open 2019-20 at Pitt

For a second straight season, Florida State basketball will open the season with a Power 5 opponent.

The Seminoles will tip off the 2019-20 season with an ACC game at Pittsburgh on Nov. 6. It’s among seven ACC conference match-ups to begin the season.

The Seminoles opened up this season with an 85-60 win over rival Florida — also on Nov. 6. Pittsburgh topped FSU this season, 75-62.

All seven ACC contests will be shown on ESPN’s family of networks, including the ACC Network, which launches in August. The Seminoles have won six straight openers.

FSU hasn’t opened the season on the road since visiting Jacksonville to open the 2008-09 campaign. Florida State has never before opened the season with an ACC game.
