Florida State softball’s stay as No. 1 is over.

The Seminoles fell two spots to No. 3 in both the latest USA Softball and NFCA Polls. In the NFCA Poll, FSU did receive the second-most first-place votes behind only top-ranked UCLA. Oklahoma is No. 2 in both polls.

FSU is coming off a 3-2 road trip to the desert with losses to Grand Canyon and Arizona. The Seminoles are 25-2 for the season and will open ACC play at home on Friday against Notre Dame.

Between the Lines

FSU swimming and diving continued Zone B competition on Tuesday. FSU baseball fell at rival Florida, 20-7.

On the Agenda

FSU swimming and diving wraps up Zone B competition on Wednesday. FSU men’s tennis will take Abilene Christian.

News and Notes

FSU women’s hoops fell to No. 25 in the AP Poll and No. 22 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

Miami and Virginia Tech will play in the ACC Tournament for the right to take on FSU.

FSU diver Molly Carlson punched her ticket to her third NCAA Championships.
