The Daily Nole — March 12, 2019: FSU’s Grady to Start at Florida

Lead Story

Florida State sophomore pitcher Conor Grady was slated to make his first career start in FSU’s first scheduled midweek contest against Jacksonville on Feb. 19. Unfortunately, that contest was rained out.

Instead, Grady will make his first start on Tuesday night in Gainesville against rival Florida. For the season, Grady is 2-0 with a 1.54 ERA in 11.2 innings while striking out 14 hitters and walking just two.

Tuesday’s top-5 contest begins at 6:30 p.m. EST and will air on SEC Network. The Gators have won 13 of the last 14 in the series.

Between the Lines

FSU swimming and diving began NCAA Zone B diving on Monday.

On the Agenda

In addition to FSU baseball, FSU swimming and diving will continue NCAA Zone B competition on Tuesday.

News and Notes

FSU basketball is currently No. 15, according to Ken Pomeroy.

The ACC Tournament begins on Tuesday.

FSU baseball blew a 6-run lead in a 20-7 loss at rival Florida on Tuesday night in Gainesville.
