Florida State basketball continues to methodically work its way up the polls.

The Seminoles rose two spots in this week’s AP Poll from No. 14 to No. 12. It is the highest ranking for FSU since the end of non-conference play when it slid into the top-10 at No. 9.

In the USA Today Coaches Poll, FSU’s rank was unchanged. The Seminoles remain No. 13.

FSU closed the season on a 4-game winning streak and won 12 of its last 13 overall to set a school-record for ACC wins in a season. This past week, the Seminoles topped Virginia Tech 73-64 in an overtime thriller to clinch an ACC double-bye before defeating Wake Forest on Saturday in Winston-Salem, 65-57.

For the season, FSU is 26-5 and finishes 13-5 in ACC play.

FSU opens the ACC Tournament as the No. 4 seed on Thursday afternoon. Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and Miami are the three possible opponents. Among those, only Virginia Tech is ranked at No. 16.
