FSU Lands Wisconsin QB Hornibrook

Depth at quarterback may no longer be an issue for Florida State.

Former Wisconsin quarterback Alex Hornibrook took to Instagram on Sunday to announce that he will be spending his final season of eligibility in Tallahassee. Hornibrook is a graduate transfer and will be eligible right away.

A 3-year starter for the Badgers, Hornibrook has more than 5,400 passing yards and 47 touchdown tosses to his name to go with 33 interceptions. As a starter, Hornibrook led Wisconsin to a pair of New Year’s Six bowls and three bowl victories.

The addition of Hornibrook will put a bit of pressure on projected starter and redshirt sophomore James Blackman. Hornibrook is the second transfer quarterback to pick the Seminoles this offseason, along with former Louisville quarterback Jordan Travis. FSU now has three scholarship quarterbacks on the roster.
