As one of only four remaining undefeated teams in the country, the rise in the polls was modest this week for Florida State baseball in most polls, but not in one.

At 10-0, Florida State claimed the top spot in the Collegiate Baseball Poll. The Seminoles were No. 7 last week.

The Seminoles rose two spots in this week’s D1Baseball.com Poll to No. 11. FSU began the year ranked No. 13 and stayed in that spot until the latest polls were released on Monday.

FSU has still yet to move in the Baseball America Poll. This week saw Florida State remain at No. 6.

FSU is coming off arguably its most impressive series of the season as the Seminoles swept Mercer over the weekend at Dick Howser Stadium. FSU outscored the Bears over the three games by a 26-7 margin.

FSU saw no movement in the NCBWA Poll. For the second week in a row, FSU sits at No. 8.

After rain-outs in each of the last two weeks, FSU hopes to play its first midweek game of the season on Wednesday as it is scheduled to play host to North Florida. The Seminoles will remain home to open ACC play against Virginia Tech, beginning on Friday.
