After another weekend sweep, Florida State held firm in the two most notable college baseball publications’ weekly polls.

The Seminoles remained No. 6 in the Baseball America Poll —- the same ranking they held in the preseason. The same was true in the D1Baseball Poll as FSU remained 13th.

In two days over the weekend, FSU completed a 3-game sweep of Youngstown State. Aside from a 24-2 win in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday, the Penguins were competitive at Dick Howser Stadium.

Florida State did rise two spots in this week’s Collegiate Baseball Poll. After beginning the year at No. 10, the Seminoles now rank seventh.

In the NCBWA Poll, Florida State rose one spot from No. 9 to No. 8.

FSU will travel to face South Florida on Tuesday before returning home to face Mercer for three games, beginning on Friday.
