It was a perfect 4-0 week for Florida State to start Mike Martin’s 40th and final season as head coach in Tallahassee.

The Seminoles completed a 4-game sweep of Maine, winning by a combined 42-9 margin. Three of the wins came by at least eight runs, but FSU did need to score two runs in the final frame to walk-off in the second game of a doubleheader on Saturday.

FSU did not move in this week’s Baseball America Poll. The Seminoles were No. 6 last week and that’s where they will be again.

Florida State also stayed put in the D1Baseball Poll as it remained 13th. In the Collegiate Baseball Poll, the Seminoles rose one spot from No. 10 to No. 9.

The same was true for FSU in the NCBWA Poll. After beginning the year at No. 10, FSU moved up a spot to No. 9.

FSU plays its first road game of the season on Tuesday at Jacksonville before returning home for three games with Youngstown State, beginning on Friday.
