Florida State has now twice held its opponents under 50 points. In both cases, the victim was Georgia Tech.

The 17th-ranked Seminoles handled the Yellow Jackets on Saturday at McCamish Pavilion, 69-47, to complete the season sweep and tie a school record with seven straight ACC wins. FSU (20-5, 8-4 ACC) held Georgia Tech to 27 percent shooting and outrebounded the Yellow Jackets, 50-38.

After three lead changes and one tie early on, FSU used a 15-2 run to take a 25-12 lead and seize control of the contest. From there, the contest never got into single-digits. Florida State led 34-23 at the break and by as many as 27 in the second half.

Freshman Devin Vassell led FSU with 11 points. Christ Koumadje, a 7-foot-4 senior center, who had never recorded a double-double entering the week did so for a second straight game with 10 points and 12 rebounds on Saturday to go with three blocks. In total, seven FSU players scored at least seven points.

After being held scoreless in the first meeting between the teams this season, Jose Alvarado led Georgia Tech (11-15, 3-10 ACC) and all scorers with 17 points. Freshman Kristian Sjolund added 11 points in the loss. Alvarado and Sjolund each made three 3s.

While FSU has won seven straight, the Yellow Jackets have now lost seven straight. FSU visits Clemson on Tuesday night while Georgia Tech remains home to face Pittsburgh on Wednesday.
