No. 22 Florida State scored the first eight points of overtime at the Donald L. Tucker Center on Saturday and did enough to hold off 16th-ranked Louisville, 80-75, for a fifth straight win.

FSU (18-5, 6-4 ACC) trailed twice by nine and by as many as 10 in the second half before rallying late. The Seminoles trailed 63-59 late before a dunk from Mfiondu Kabengele and a steal and layup by M.J. Walker.

After a pair of free throws by Louisville in the final minute put the Cardinals (17-7, 8-3 ACC) up by two, Trent Forrest scored with 34 seconds to even the game at 65 and force overtime. Phil Cofer had a desperation 3-point heave at the buzzer go awry.

Louisville got as close as one in overtime, but Ryan McMahon’s tying 3-point attempt was long. Walker knocked down two free throws to ice the game.

Kabengele scored 22 points to lead the Seminoles while Terance Mann added 20. Christen Cunningham led Louisville with 20 points.

Louisville hosts Duke on Tuesday. FSU eyes a sixth straight win on Wednesday at home against Wake Forest.
