Another new baseball poll, another top-10 start for Florida State.

Released on Tuesday, FSU will begin ranked No. 10 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Poll. The Seminoles were previously ranked No. 6 by Baseball America, No. 10 by Collegiate Baseball and 13th by D1Baseball.com.

Vanderbilt topped the NCBWA Poll, followed by LSU, Texas Tech, UCLA and defending national champion Oregon State. Florida was No. 6, followed by North Carolina, Stanford, Louisville and the Seminoles.

FSU is coming off a 40th straight 40-win season as it prepares for what will be the 40th and final campaign under legendary head coach Mike Martin. The Seminoles finished 43-19 last season and claimed a third ACC title in four years before being swept from the Tallahassee Regional.

The FSU offense will likely be headlined by junior infielder Drew Mendoza. Junior left-hander Drew Parrish is again expected to be the ace of the rotation.

The Seminoles open the season on Friday at home against Maine. Click here to view the complete poll.
