FSU Adds Kicker to 2019 Class

Outside of transfer Ryan Roberts, the first commitment for Florida State of the weekend came from a player who will be asked to win games with his foot.

Ryan Fitzgerald, a kicker, pledged his services to the Seminoles on Sunday evening. A prospect out of Moultrie, Georgia, Fitzgerald picked FSU over Kansas, UCF and a handful of Power 5 programs.

Listed at 6-foot-0 and 185 pounds, Fitzgerald is listed as the nation’s 16th-best kicker, according to the 247Sports Composite. Ricky Aguayo, a 3-year starter at placekicker for FSU, is set to be a senior in 2019.

A 2-star prospect, Fitzgerald is the 20th commitment for FSU’s 2019 class and the only kicker. FSU’s class remains 16th in the Composite rankings and second among ACC programs behind only Clemson.
