After bursting onto the scene as Florida State’s ace in 2018, junior pitcher Drew Parrish is getting plenty of preseason hype.

On Monday, the left-hander was named a preseason first-team All-American by D1Baseball.com. Parrish was previously named a preseason All-American by Collegiate Baseball.

Although Parrish’s season in 2018 ended with him allowing a 3-run walk-off home run against Mississippi State that ultimately ended the season for the Seminoles, the lefty was nothing short of stellar. That served as Parrish’s only blemish during a 5-1 campaign in which he posted a 2.52 ERA and struck out 128 batters in 107 innings of work.

Parrish will likely get the ball on Opening Day next month when FSU plays host to Maine at Dick Howser Stadium. To see the full list of D1Baseball.com’s All-Americans, click here.
