Lead Story

After an upset loss to Clemson over the weekend, Florida State women’s basketball was able to bounce back and remain perfect on the road Thursday night with an easy 91-71 victory over Boston College.

Kiah Gillespie finished with 23 points and eight rebounds to lead five Seminoles in double-figures. Nicki Ekhomu added 16 points on an ultra efficient 4-for-4 from the field. Valencia Myers (14), Nausia Woolfolk (12) and Morgan Jones (11) also finished in double-figures scoring.

FSU never trailed in the contest and shot 55 percent as a team in the victory. Emma Guy finished with game-highs of 24 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Eagles.

With the win, FSU improves to 15-2 and 3-1 in ACC play. The Seminoles return home on Sunday to face Duke.

Between the Lines

FSU women’s hoops was the only scheduled athletic event for Thursday.

FSU men’s tennis hosts South Alabama on Friday.
