Happy hump day, Florida State fans. As your day and week head downhill, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post may be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

Despite rampant speculation that quarterback Deondre Francois has played his last game at Florida State, the redshirt senior to-be has reportedly enrolled in spring classes.

While playing behind a porous offensive line, Francois was the subject of ire from the fan base this past season. Francois finished his junior season with 2,731 yards passing and 15 touchdowns compared to 12 interceptions. He also rushed for three touchdowns.

Francois refuted a previous report by the Orlando Sentinel that claimed he would not be returning to FSU in 2019. Francois has said that he is weighing his options and open to entering the NFL Draft. Monday is the final day to declare.

After being named ACC Rookie of the Year in 2016, Francois tore his patella tendon in the 2017 opener of Alabama, forcing him to miss the entire season. Francois beat out sophomore James Blackman this past season for the starting job. Those two, along with Louisville transfer Jordan Travis, are the only three scholarship quarterbacks on the roster.
