The Daily Nole — Dec. 27, 2018: FSU’s Laborn Reportedly Cited for Marijuana

Florida State redshirt freshman running back Khalan Laborn reportedly has an arraignment set for Jan. 10 after reports surfaced of a minor marijuana charge from more than a month ago.

The Virginia native and passenger Josh Brown, a junior linebacker, were reportedly placed into handcuffs after FSU Police Department officers smelled marijuana in the vehicle that had been stopped for driving without headlights during the early hours of Nov. 19. Laborn was cited for misdemeanor possession of marijuana of less than 20 grams. Both players were later released and allowed to leave the scene.

Laborn suffered a season-ending dislocated kneecap during the second week of the season in 2018. This, after Laborn was named MVP of the FSU spring game. Laborn is expected to be a big part of the offense in 2019.
