Happy hump day, Florida State fans. As you recover from the holidays, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

Despite an 11-1 record and neutral-site victory over a top-20 team, Florida State women’s hoops remains unranked in one of the two major polls.

The Seminoles are nowhere to be found in the AP Poll, but did finally make an appearance in the USA Today Coaches Poll this week at No. 25. Since falling to LSU, FSU has won seven straight, including a win over current No. 16 Iowa in the Bahamas.

Newcomer Kiah Gillespie has led FSU this season with 17.5 points and nine rebounds per game. The Seminoles wrap up non-conference play on Saturday at home against Georgia State.
