It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas and before you know it, baseball season.

Collegiate Baseball released its preseason poll on Tuesday as Florida State unsurprisingly is a part of it. The Seminoles will begin the season ranked No. 10.

FSU finished 43-19 last season, winning its third ACC title in four years, but was ultimately swept from the Tallahassee Regional. The 2019 campaign will be the final for legendary head coach Mike Martin.

Junior Drew Parrish will headline the pitching staff along with sophomore C.J. Van Eyk, but the Seminoles will have a new-look lineup. FSU will be tasked with replacing the likes of Jackson Lueck, Cal Raleigh, Steven Wells and Rhett Aplin. Drew Mendoza will be the bat to watch in 2019.

FSU will have the benefit of bringing in an outstanding recruiting class. The Seminoles open the season on Feb. 15 against Maine at Dick Howser Stadium.

LSU topped the preseason poll ahead of Vanderbilt, UCLA, Texas Tech and Stanford. Also ahead of the Seminoles was rival Florida, Oregon State, North Carolina and Louisville. Click here to view the complete poll.
