Brian Burns, Florida State’s best defensive end, has already declared for the NFL Draft, but the Seminoles’ best player at linebacker announced on Monday that he will stay for a senior season.

Dontavious Jackson took to social media to make the announcement after a breakthrough 2018. After recording less than 20 tackles as a sophomore, Jackson finished second on the team in 2018 with 75 stops, seven tackles for loss, a sack, an interception and a forced fumble.

Jackson played in all 12 games and started 10 for the Seminoles this past season. The Houston native came to Tallahassee as a 4-star prospect in 2016.

FSU basketball defeated Southeast Missouri State on Monday night, 85-68.
