Florida State woes along the offensive line are carrying into the recruiting cycle.

On Tuesday night, 4-star offensive tackle Charles Cross backed off his pledge to the Seminoles. Cross had been committed to FSU since July.

At 6-foot-5 and 270 pounds, Cross is listed by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 19 tackle in the country and the No. 203 overall prospect. A star at Laurel High School in Mississippi, most believe that Mississippi State will be the likely destination for Cross.

With the loss of Cross, the Seminoles fall from 11th to 14th overall, per the Composite. The decommitment leaves FSU with only one committed offensive lineman in 4-star guard Dontae Lucas. That is a position that Florida State sorely needs.
