The individual recognitions were plenty for Florida State following a thrilling 22-21 victory over Boston College on Saturday.

Four different players earned ACC Player of the Week honors, according to a release on Monday. That is the most for the Seminoles in any week this season.

Sophomore running back Cam Akers was named the ACC Offensive Back of the Week after going for a season-high 110 yards rushing and a touchdown on just 14 carries. That amounts to 7.9 yards per carry. Akers had a long run of 55 yards and also caught a pass for three yards.

Redshirt freshman wide receiver Tamorrion Terry was named ACC Receiver of the Week for a second time in four games in addition to earning ACC Rookie of the Week honors. Terry hauled in three passes for 112 yards, including the game-winning 74-yard touchdown with less than two minutes to play.

Junior Dontavious Jackson was named ACC Linebacker of the Week after recording a career-high tying 14 tackles and a sack. The 14 tackles was a game-high in the victory.

Sophomore Stanford Samuels III was named the ACC Defensive Back of the Week. Samuels, who has moved back and forth between safety and cornerback in recent weeks, finished with nine tackles and his team-leading fourth interception of the year in the win over the Eagles.

With Saturday’s victory, FSU improved to 5-6 and will need to beat rival Florida to become bowl-eligible for a 37th straight season.
