For Florida State to extend the nation’s longest bowl streak to 37 years, it will have to make it six straight over rival Florida.

The Seminoles (5-6, 3-5 ACC) kept their bowl hopes alive with a thrilling 22-21 victory over No. 20 Boston College at Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday. Tamorrion Terry scored the game-winning touchdown on 74-yard strike from quarterback Deondre Francois with less than two minutes remaining.

FSU trailed by as many as eight in the fourth quarter, but came up with timely stops down the stretch. Francois overcame two early interceptions to pass for 322 yards.

Boston College (7-4, 4-3 ACC) used a touchdown pass from quarterback Anthony Brown, who also threw two interceptions. A.J. Dillon rushed for 116 yards and two scores on 37 carries.

Cam Akers rushed for a season-high 110 yards and a touchdown for the Seminoles. Terry led FSU receivers with 112 yards on three catches and the winning score. Kobay White led the Eagles with seven catches for 121 yards.

Stanford Samuels III and Hamsah Nasirildeen each had interceptions for FSU. Ricky Aguayo was 3-for-4 on field goals.

The win for FSU is its first over a ranked team since topping Michigan in the 2016 Orange Bowl. The Seminoles will host rival Florida next week. Boston College returns home to face Syracuse.
