Bowl Projections: No Bowl for Noles

Damon Herota/FSU athletics

Florida State will be playing for its bowl lives on Saturday against No. 20 Boston College. FSU will have to beat the Eagles and No. 13 Florida at home to preserve the nation’s longest bowl streak.

The Seminoles haven’t missed a bowl since 1981 nor had a losing season since 1976, but both of those streaks appear to be going by the wayside. Our weekly survey of national publications indicates that no one really likes FSU’s chances.

Bowl Projections
Athlon Sports, Nov. 11: No bowl.

ESPN, Nov. 11: No bowl.

USA TODAY, Nov. 13: No bowl.

CBS Sports, Nov. 12: No bowl.

Bleacher Report, Nov. 13: No bowl.

SB Nation, Nov. 11: No bowl.

Sporting News, Nov. 13: No bowl

Sports Illustrated, Nov. 11: No bowl.

Summary
No publications currently have Florida State penciled into a bowl game and with good reason. It would be the first time since 1981 that the Seminoles did not continue to play after the regular season. This is the second week in a row that FSU did not appear in any bowl projections.
