A word to Florida State fans traveling to South Bend, Indiana for the Notre Dame contest: Clothing layers.
In addition to the temperature, wind, and possible snow, the Seminoles football team will face off against a top-5 Fighting Irish team with playoff aspirations. Notre Dame has played all its opponents pretty closely so far, and Florida State is attempting to do the same.

Lead writer Clint Eiland: Will Florida State lose a close one or will they get blown out? That is where I am at right now, because I just do not see where the Seminoles will find success against Notre Dame. The offensive line has no reason for hope with their combination of injuries and lack of talent.
They are now tasked with trying to hold off a Notre Dame defensive front which excels in getting pressure. We already knew that passing was the only way that the Seminoles could move the ball. It will not happen if Notre Dame plays like everyone expects them too.
The defense might have a better day. Ian Book is out and Notre Dame now turns to Brandon Wimbush. Florida State should be able to generate more pass rush than it did against NC State, and I doubt the defensive line has a repeat performance.
Despite those positives, the game will only stay close for a half. Florida State will fail to get any sort of offensive rhythm going and Notre Dame will wear it down to end it. Fighting Irish 31, Florida State 10.
Editor Mike Ferguson: With Ian Book out for Notre Dame, Florida State’s chances do improve but only slightly. The Seminoles are dismal up front on offense and will be without guard Cole Minshew for Saturday’s contest against a dominant Notre Dame front.
Following a dismal showing last week defensively in Raleigh, there are real questions about how much the Seminoles have left in the tank for the remainder of the season. Head coach Willie Taggart has yet to name a starting quarterback for the contest. Don’t count on the running game being any factor. In possible snowy conditions, that’s not a good thing for FSU. Notre Dame 41, FSU 6.
Digital Content Manager Edwin Collins: In snowy weather, I expect a low scoring game. FSU isn’t going into South Bend and leaving with a win. Irish 14, Noles 7.
