Lead Story

While Florida State’s quarterback controversy has made headlines this week, Notre Dame will be without its starter on Saturday.

According to reports, Ian Book will be unavailable for Saturday’s contest in South Bend. Book reportedly is nursing an injury to his rib cage.

For the season, the junior Book is completing nearly 75 percent of his passes to go with 1,824 yards and 19 total touchdowns compared to just four interceptions. Expected to fill in is senior Brandon Wimbush, who started the first three games this season for the Fighting Irish.

Between the Lines

Both the FSU men’s and women’s tennis teams continued the ITA Oracle National Fall Championships on Thursday.

On the Agenda

FSU tennis teams will resume the ITA Oracle National Fall Championships on Friday. The women also host the Seminole All-Conference Showdown. FSU cross country participates in the NCAA South Regional Championships. FSU women’s hoops takes on North Florida while FSU soccer begins the NCAA Tournament at home against Loyola-Chicago. Each of the final two contests begin at 7 p.m. EST and air on ACC Network Extra.

FSU guard Cole Minshew and cornerback Levonta Taylor will both reportedly be out for Saturday’s contest at Notre Dame.
