It’s Thursday, Florida State fans. As your day and week near an end, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

Two days separate the contest between Florida State and No. 3 Notre Dame and head coach Willie Taggart has yet to name a starting quarterback.

Taggart gave few specifics during Wednesday’s ACC teleconference on whether redshirt junior Deondre Francois or sophomore James Blackman would start on Saturday night against the Fighting Irish. Francois started the first eight games this season for FSU while Blackman tossed for 421 yards and four touchdowns in last week’s 47-28 loss to NC State.

Blackman has played in four games this season and would be eligible for a redshirt if he saw no further action. Saturday’s contest begins at 7:30 p.m. EST and will air on NBC.
