An ACC title wasn’t in the cards for Florida State at the ACC Cross Country Championships in Boston on Friday morning, but both teams did finish in the top half of the conference.

The FSU women finished fourth overall behind ACC champion NC State, Notre Dame and Syracuse. Senior Militsa Mircheva was the top finisher for the Seminoles at fourth overall. Freshman Elizabeth Funderburk finished 15th for FSU. Louisville junior Dorcas Wasike took home the individual crown.

The FSU men claimed seventh place at the championships on Friday. Freshman Caleb Pottorff was the top finisher for Florida State at 11th overall. No other Florida State men’s runner finished in the top 25.

Notre Dame held off Syracuse for the ACC team title. Following the Fighting Irish and Orange were NC State, Virginia, Wake Forest and Virginia Tech. Virginia Tech’s Peter Seufer, a junior, won the individual championship.

FSU cross country will take part in the NCAA Southern Regional on Nov. 9.
