4-Star Center Balsa Koprivica Commits to FSU

Florida State basketball received another high-profile commitment when 4-star center Balsa Koprivica made it official on Friday night.

Koprivica is ranked as the No. 56 player in the nation and the No. 15 center in the 2019 class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He is a true 7-footer that comes in at 240 pounds with the athleticism to boot. Koprivica fits the mold of a stretch center who has the skill level and versatility of a forward. While he still needs to fill out his frame in order to contribute at the next level, few players with his size possess the technical ability that he currently does.

Koprivica is the second blue-chip recruit to join Florida State’s 2019 class. Earlier this month, 4-star small forward Patrick Williams became the first. The Seminoles need at least one center in the class, since Christ Koumadje will graduate after this season, and Ike Obiagu transferred after the 2017-18 season. Koprivica was one of their high priority targets. They are also the favorite for 3-star Naheem McLeod.

Florida State’s class now ranks No. 15 in the nation and No. 2 in the ACC. There are likely just two spots left, and the Seminoles are in good position to finish even higher up in the rankings.
