Florida State played arguably its best game of the season on Saturday with a 38-17 homecoming win over Wake Forest. On Monday, the ACC acknowledged two FSU standouts with player of the week honors.

Redshirt junior quarterback Deondre Francois was named ACC Offensive Back of the Week after passing for 353 yards in the win over the Demon Deacons. Francois overcame a slow start to finish 29-for-40 passing with two touchdowns.

Junior defensive end Brian Burns was named ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week after recording a pair of sacks in the win over Wake. Burns finished with four total tackles and leads the conference with nine sacks on the season.

Prior to this week, the only FSU players to earn weekly honors from the ACC were redshirt freshman linebacker DeCalon Brooks and wide receiver D.J. Matthews, who earned the honor as a specialist. FSU will need a number of strong individual performances this week as it plays host to No. 2 Clemson on Saturday.
