Lead Story

Florida State soccer had to settle for a 1-1 draw on Senior Day on Saturday as NC State’s Taylor Porter found the back of the net at the regulation buzzer to force overtime and the eventual draw.

Yujie Zhao got the scoring started for FSU with her team-leading sixth goal of the season in the 69th minute. FSU finished with 37 shots to just five for the Wolfpack, but managed to score just once.

Sydney Wootten, the NC State goalkeeper, finished with 16 saves in the victory. Brooke Bollinger had just one for the Seminoles. Up next for FSU will be a trip to face Pittsburgh on Thursday.

Between the Lines

In addition to FSU soccer, FSU women’s tennis continued the Bedford Cup on Saturday. FSU cross country participated in the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals.

On the Agenda

FSU women’s tennis wraps up the Bedford Cup on Sunday. FSU volleyball will be at Syracuse in a match that begins at 1 p.m. EST on ACC Network Extra.
