It’s Thursday, Florida State fans, which means we’re just two days away from the big rivalry game with Miami. As the day goes on, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. We’ll update the news and notes section of this post throughout the day.

Lead Story

As the highly-anticipated contest with rival and No. 17 Miami on Saturday nears, there is optimism that Florida State could have a big body back in the lineup up front.

Redshirt senior offensive lineman Derrick Kelly reportedly returned to practice on Wednesday in full pads. Kelly had missed each of the previous two games with a leg injury.

According to the linked report from 247Sports, FSU head coach Willie Taggart said he was optimistic that both Kelly and tackle Landon Dickerson would be able to go on Saturday against the Hurricanes. Dickerson had been absent from practice in recent days. If both are able to go, Kelly will likely play inside at guard.

Between the Lines

FSU men’s and women’s tennis resumed the All-American Championships on Wednesday.

On the Agenda

FSU men’s and women’s tennis will resume the All-American Championships on Thursday. FSU soccer will host Clemson at 7 p.m. EST on ACC Network Extra.
