Florida State basketball gained a commitment on Saturday afternoon from JUCO shooting guard Nathanael Jack. Jack is currently in Tallahassee on an official visit to the university.

Not many were aware of Jack before today, since he currently plays at Eastern Florida State College as a shooting guard. Texas Tech and Dayton were the two main competitors for his services. Jack averaged over 10 points per game and over 40 percent shooting from the 3-point line this past season. His role at FSU will be similar to someone like P.J. Savoy or Devon Bookert, who specialized in scoring bursts thanks to their outside shooting.

He is originally from Mississauga, Ontario in Canada and played at Calusa Prep in Miami. Jack is just the second commit of the 2019 class, which currently ranks 70th in the nation and sixth in the ACC. FSU is expected to hear decisions from a group of highly-rated recruits in the coming weeks.
