Florida State will be moving forward in 2018 without a reserve safety and special teams player.

According to a report from the Tallahassee Democrat, senior Calvin Brewton is no longer with the program. Brewton played in two games this season and 20 for his career, recording six tackles.

The loss hardly serves as a huge blow to FSU as the Seminoles are deep in the secondary. A.J. Westbrook, Hamsah Nasirildeen, Stanford Samuels III, Cyrus Fagan and Jaiden Woodbey are among the safeties to make an impact in the secondary this season.

The specifics of why Brewton chose to leave have not been reported. The Seminoles host Northern Illinois on Saturday.
