The Daily Nole — Sept. 20, 2018: FSU Women’s Hoops Opens ACC Play at Virginia

It’s Thursday, Florida State fans. As your day and week wind down, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

The ACC schedule for Florida State women’s basketball was released earlier this week, completing the 2018-19 schedule.

Like the FSU men, the Seminoles will open ACC play at Virginia, only on Jan. 3. The first ACC home game for FSU will come on Jan. 13 against Clemson.

Other notable ACC contests are at North Carolina on Jan. 6, at home against Duke and Louisville on Jan. 20 and Jan. 24, respectively, and at defending national champion Notre Dame on Feb. 10. FSU will host Syracuse for Senior Day on Feb. 28.

Between the Lines

There were no FSU athletic events scheduled for Wednesday.

On the Agenda

FSU women’s tennis will be out west on Thursday for the Oracle ITA Masters. FSU soccer hosts Virginia Tech at 7 p.m. EST on ACC Network Extra.

News and Notes

FSU cross country redshirt freshman Caleb Pottorff was named ACC Performer of the Week.

FSU freshman defensive back Isaiah Bolden is likely out for the season.

FSU safety Calvin Brewton is reportedly no longer with the program.
