Happy hump day, Florida State fans. As your week starts to head downhill, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

After wins over Florida and South Alabama, only Stanford sits above Florida State soccer.

The Seminoles climbed up one spot to No. 2 in this week’s United Coaches Poll. The Cardinal, who ended FSU’s 2017 season, did receive all 35 first-place votes after a 2-1 win over previous No. 2 North Carolina.

That’s who the Seminoles will see next when they host the Tar Heels on Friday. For the season, FSU is 7-0-1.

Between the Lines

There were no FSU athletic events scheduled for Tuesday.

On the Agenda

Florida State volleyball will host rival Florida on Wednesday night. The match begins at 6 p.m. EST and airs on ACC Network Extra.

No FSU athletic events have yet been affected by weather.

Florida State soccer redshirt freshman goalkeeper Brooke Bollinger earned co-honors as ACC Defensive Player of the Week.
