The first match-up between Florida State and Northern Illinois since the Orange Bowl to conclude the 2012 season won’t be a prime time contest.

According to a release from the ACC, the contest on Sept. 22 at Doak Campbell Stadium will begin at 3:30 p.m. EST and air on either ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU. It will be the first day game of 2018 in Tallahassee.

The match-up between the schools is just the second ever. FSU capped the 2012 season with a 31-10 victory over Northern Illinois in the Orange Bowl.

For the year, FSU is 1-1 with a win over Samford and a loss to Virginia Tech. The Huskies are 0-2 with losses to Iowa and Utah.

FSU resumes ACC play this week with a long trip to face Syracuse on Saturday. Northern Illinois will begin MAC play at home against Central Michigan.
