2020 CB Isaiah Dunson Commits to Florida State

FSU athletics

Florida State gained its first commitment of August when 4-star cornerback Isaiah Dunson pledged his services to the Seminoles.

Dunson is a cornerback from the 2020 class out of Tucker High School in Georgia. Florida State extended an offer on May 24 and Dunson visited Tallahassee shortly afterwards on May 31. He had apparently seen enough to make a decision, announcing his commitment on Thursday night in a Twitter post. Dunson chose FSU over Louisville, North Carolina, and Nebraska.

Dunson is rated as the No. 17 cornerback in the 2020 class and the No. 198 player nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite. He’s currently listed at 6-foot-2 and 175 pounds, which would make him a candidate to switch to safety later in his playing career. He is a teammate of 2019 defensive end commit Derrick McLendon.

He is the fourth commit of the 2020 FSU recruiting class, which ranks No. 6 nationally and No. 2 in the ACC. All four commitments are top 250 players.
