How FSU Rookies Fared in NFL Preseason Week 1

The games aren’t real meaningful at this point, but for diehard football fans, the sport has returned.

The NFL preseason got fully underway this week, which meant the debuts for a number of rookies. That includes former Florida State players. Here’s how FSU rookies fared for their respective teams:

Ryan Green, RB, New York Jets
Ryan Green was signed by the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent, but is no longer on the roster.

Ro’Derrick Hoskins, LB, Chicago Bears
Hoskins recorded one tackle for the Chicago Bears in a loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Ryan Izzo, TE, New England Patriots
Izzo recorded three catches for 15 yards in a 26-17 win over the Washington Redskins.

Jared Jackson, WR, Los Angeles Rams
Jared Jackson was was signed by the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent, but is no longer on the roster.

Derwin James, S, Los Angeles Chargers
James recorded two tackles, including one for loss in a 24-17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

Rick Leonard, T, New Orleans Saints
Leonard played for the Saints in a 24-20 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Trey Marshall, S, Denver Broncos
Marshall recorded three tackles in a 42-28 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

Tarvarus McFadden, CB, San Francisco 49ers
McFadden had a pass break-up for the San Francisco 49ers in a 24-21 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

Derrick Nnadi, DT, Kansas City Chiefs
Derrick Nnadi is nursing an injury and recorded no statistics in a 17-10 loss to the Houston Texans.

Jacob Pugh, LB, Seattle Seahawks
Jacob Pugh had one tackle in a 19-17 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

Josh Sweat, DE, Philadelphia Eagles
Sweat recorded one tackle in a 31-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Auden Tate, WR, Cincinnati Bengals
Tate caught just one pass for a 33-yard touchdown in the Bengals’ 30-27 win over the Chicago Bears. The score served as the game-winner with 2:04 remaining.

Matthew Thomas, LB, Pittsburgh Steelers
Thomas recorded two tackles in a 31-14 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Jalen Wilkerson, DE, Washington Redskins
Originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Houston Texans, Wilkerson has since been signed by the Washington Redskins.
