Florida State basketball unveiled its 2018-19 season non-conference schedule on Tuesday afternoon.

The Seminoles are lined up for 13 non-conference games that include high profile match-ups against Purdue, Connecticut, and rival Florida.

The first match-up will be against the Florida Gators on Nov. 6 for the season opener at the Donald L. Tucker Center. After that, the Seminoles play Tulane and Canisius on Nov. 11 and Nov. 16 respectively.

Florida State will then participate in the AdvoCare Invitational, played from Nov. 22-25 at the HP Field House at the Walt Disney Resort in Lake Buena Vista. The Seminoles open the tournament with UAB and will then face either College of Charleston or LSU.

After the tournament, FSU faces perhaps its biggest non-ACC challenge of the season. The Seminoles are slated to host the Purdue Boilermakers in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Nov. 28. Purdue was a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament last year and advanced all the way to the Sweet 16 without one of its top players.

The rest of the opponents include Troy (Dec. 3), UConn (Dec. 8), Southeast Missouri (Dec. 17), North Florida (Dec. 19), Saint Louis (Dec. 22), and Winthrop (Jan. 1).

The UConn and Saint Louis games are apart of separate invitationals. The former is the Never Forget Tribute Classic and the latter is the Orange Bowl Classic.

Many have already observed that this will be one of the toughest non-conference schedules in program history. In addition to the three programs mentioned near the top, teams like Saint Louis and Winthrop are considered tough mid-major opponents. Both have made an NCAA Tournament appearance in recent years.

Florida State looks to build off its 2017-18 season, which witnessed the Seminoles pull off a stunning Elite Eight run with wins over Missouri, Xavier, and Gonzaga. The Seminoles return a majority of their production on both offense and defense.
