It’s that time again where we poll our audience on Twitter.

This week’s question was simple: which Florida State player will lead the Seminoles in touchdowns scored in 2018? The results were overwhelming in favor of a sophomore running back from Mississippi.

Cam Akers easily won the vote with 71 percent. Akers broke the FSU freshman rushing record in 2017 with 1,024 yards on the ground and eight total touchdowns. Only Auden Tate, a 6-foot-5 receiver, scored more touchdowns as he caught 10 for the season.

Finishing second on the list was redshirt freshman wide receiver Tamorrion Terry with 16 percent. With Tate gone, Terry, at 6-4, could be the Seminoles’ go-to guy in the red zone after a breakout spring.

Jacques Patrick, a senior running back, finished third with 10 percent of the vote. A bigger back at 230 pounds, Patrick could be FSU’s most-used ball-carrier near the goal line. Patrick and Akers each rushed for seven touchdowns last season, but Patrick played in two fewer games.

Nyqwan Murray, the leading receiver for the Seminoles last season, got just 3 percent of the vote. Murray, now a senior, was tied for the team lead with 40 receptions to go with a team-high 604 yards, but only four grabs went for touchdowns.

We’ll have another poll next week.
